Praia do Malhão

Praia do Malhão is a beach with a very extensive sand located about 5 km north of Vila Nova de Milfontes. It has good conditions for surfing and bodyboarding. Here begins a pedestrian trail along the coast of the Costa Vicentina and ends in Vila Nova de Milfontes. Access is via a dirt road. On the north side of the beach nudism is allowed.
In summer there are lifeguards. There is no support bar.
Aivados beach

Praia dos Aivados is a charming beach, much visited by nature lovers, who also camp here and enjoy this place integrated in the Costa Vicentina Natural Park.
At low tide, it invites you to take long walks, especially towards the south.
Access is via a sand road of about 3 km that starts at Ribeira da Azenha. It is a beach without support and without a lifeguard.
Almograve beach

With two very different parts, Almograve is one of the most beautiful beaches on the Alentejo Coast. On one side, the beach of rocks and shale cliffs, on the other, the sandy beach leaning against the dunes.
Infrastructure and support: Sanitary installations, restaurant, guarded beach, showers, telephone, access for the disabled, sport fishing, good conditions for bodyboarding and surfing. There is a road that goes around the beach with three entrances and good parking.
Amália beach

Located in the heart of the Southwest Alentejo and Costa Vicentina Natural Park, the beautiful Amália beach is a natural delight, in an almost pure state.
Praia owes its name to the artist Amália Rodrigues who frequented it a lot.
Access to the beach is via some stairs next to Amália's house. Due to its peacefulness and almost pristine nature, this is a beach very popular with naturists, also offering conditions for surfing and sport fishing.
Brejo Largo beach

Praia do Brejo Largo Beach has a very extensive sand of about 1 km. The landscape is fabulous, and if there's ever a time to be speechless, this is one of them.
Access is via a path that heads north from the village of Longueira and turns west, further on, to an isolated house. From here, you'll have to cross a small watercourse and head south until you find some steps that allow you to go down the cliff.
Carvalhal beach

Medium-sized beach, still somewhat wild, located in a valley, which makes it quite sheltered. Not being very far from Zambujeira do Mar, it could be another option.
Quiet beach, with a stream where water always flows, has two small car parks, a restaurant bar and a beautiful terrace.
